§ About the project
Andrea Lauer Rice and Réka Pigniczky founded the Memory Project — travelling to 14 locations across the United States, Germany and Hungary to record more than 85 interviews with Hungarian immigrants who left after the defeat of the 1956 Revolution and the Second World War.

§ The Archive
A searchable video archive in alphabetical order — 3 columns on desktop, 2 on tablets, 1 on mobile.
Each interviewee is treated like a card in a card-catalogue: portrait, name, the year they left, the country they emigrated to. The whole site can be searched and filtered, and we built it with room to grow — more axes (decade, location, theme) will switch on as the archive expands.
